Bombing in Pakistan

The Standard
As you might have heard, the celebrations over the return of Benazir Bhutto were interrupted by a suicide bomber, whose bomb killed 124 people. Bhutto herself apparently only escaped through pure luck.

The cynic in my can't help but thinking that it would have been awfully convenient for Musharraf if Bhutto had died in the blast - he would have been rid of a major rival and he could have focused the anger of her supporters against the fundamentalists instead of him.

But I guess we will never know the details of this for certain.
