Are the test movies I've created so jerky because the camera doesn't compensate as well for movements as more expensive models, or because I am simply inexperienced in holding them still?
Probably a little bit of both...
Probably a little bit of both...
My old digital camera broke recently, so I had to buy a new one. I just went for the cheapest one with triple optical zoom (as my brother told me, neither digital zoom nor Megapixels are what counts for the image quality, but the optical zoom), and it turned out that this model can not only take pictures, but also movies - including sound. While of course this one is not as good as a dedicated video camera, it's still not bad - though that option certainly hogs the storage space on the memory chip. When I tested it, six seconds of movie used up 12 megabytes!
But perhaps I ought to get a YouTube account after all... ;)
In this vein, here's a question: Does anyone here know of any good Open Source video editing programs?
EDIT: It needs to be for Windows, though...
