Spambot Death Wall

In honor of my new fight against spambots, I hereby introduce the Spambot Death Wall.

I will add the user names of all spambots I report to the Spambot Death Wall, and you can revisit it and watch as the accounts of the spambots become deactivated one by one and thus their user names crossed out.

aduima, afhqleipnwlz, asalnjl, atsinosk, dahnel, enbalja, enbatal, esjve, golyru, inliknud, itoejo, jempsi, jhdejg, jingjing2116, koesoaz, lageon, lanomor, lasrizn, malrulnov, meriah152010mitodom, omrfno, oshbav, photoresizer, privosevose, ratyrnul, roevdnog, rpimeuma, tulena, unamak, yjzsheg, yncynf, zimbegu

If you believe that you have identified other spambots not listed here, please add a comment to this page and I will check out if they warrant inclusion on the Spambot Death Wall. If you want to report spambots yourself, go to the Spambot Report Form provided by LiveJournal.

There are a lot of spambots cataloged in the comments here, if you're will in to dig: http://12daysofrain.livejournal.com/129369.html

My experiences have only yielded one account name: zhivsdel

Almost all of the accounts listed on that page have already been deleted - in that case you get a crossed user name like your zhivsdel, and since I wasn't able to report them, I won't add them to the list.

The sole exception that remains listed on those pages might be a spambot, but I can't say for sure...

...and now I feel a bit silly.

I think you might find this useful for your spambot hunt:

I wish you good luck.

They're all lined up so nicely on this little Death Wall--how immensely satisfying!

inliknud and jempsi both just friended me today. I haven't been bothered by spam bots in a while, I blame you. ;)

Yep, those seem to be spambots - smarter ones than usual since their journal entries are friends-protected, but since they have identical lists of accounts they have friended we can assume that they are spambots nonetheless.

I think I'm being targeted for a spambot attack! I was friended this morning by the following: ratyrnul, lageon, enbalja, maetkaza, and ovsksd. Soooo annoying!!

The first three have identical "friends" list and are certainly spambots - I've reported them and added them to the Wall. I didn't find any truly conclusive proof that the fourth one is a spambot, and thus gave him the benefit of the doubt.

The final user name does not appear to be linked to an active account.

My mistake, the last one should read ovskfd.

Here's another two spambot accts. that keeps stealing off my blog. I think it's ridicluous non-livejournal users have to sign up for an acct. to report theft from our blogs. ugh! If you could report it for me I would be very appreciative as I'm sick of having my content maniupulated by spambots.

Can you give me a link to your own blog, as well as some examples of which entries they copied and where? I mean, it's difficult for me to tell the admins that these people are stealing someone else's work if I can't tell them where and how they are doing it...
